Island Moods...

Last night was spent at the Carnaval de Santa Cruz, perhaps "not exactly" my sort of thing but still worth doing, for a change, together with the sweetish Mistela which now perhaps misleadingly seems not bad at all. And in the morning, after the oh-so-usual short night's sleep, sort of climbing over the cliffs just off Las Teresitas, walking the warm sand and bathing into the hot sun in a distracted sort of way while considering I might have in the past too quickly dismissed these islands and their beauty. E nel pomeriggio, mazzi di stranieri decisamente fuori posto in Plaza del Adelantado con i suoi sonnacchiosi toni coloniali, e famigliole e arrampicatori e skaters alti un metro in libera uscita al Parque de La Vega. Ok, we're off to the Carnaval yet again, folks...
